About curriculum
Under the cooperation between Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, and the Faculty of the Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi opened a new Programme, the Bachelor of Science Programme Health Data Science programme at the bachelor’s degree level in the academic year 2018, the first in Thailand and at the ASEAN level. Meet the rapid expansion of health science information. Moreover, support the needs of data scientists. With a new branch and is essential to support the production of vast amounts of data every day, from the history of treatment, drug instruction, and research data as well as various health-related applications to develop personnel towards the Thailand 4.0 era.
Bachelor of Science Programme, Health Data Science programme, aims to produce graduates with knowledge and abilities. To solve the problems of Thailand’s health and medical system using the body of knowledge in data science, a new field that has never been taught at the bachelor’s level before. Therefore, it is in great demand from organizations in various sectors. Graduates can work as data scientists in public and private hospitals and Government agencies, such as the Ministry of Health, or health-related companies, such as life insurance companies and various research institutes. In addition, graduates can apply their knowledge to further work in the business sector.
Furthermore, if graduates want to continue their studies at the graduate level Graduates can choose to study in medical-related fields such as doctors, researchers, and molecular scientists. Public health scholar or engineering computer branch Actuarial Mathematics, etc., by both institutions aiming for programme graduates. To become personnel capable of thinking, analyzing, and processing health information from various sources, as well as solving medical and public health problems accurately, quickly, and in an organized manner, as well as being a vital force in the development of the country in the future.
What is Health Data Science?
Data science arises from the fusion of probability science, statistics, Mathematics, and programing. To find insights into the data collected in the past to build on to solve problems that may arise or predict what may happen in the future, such as predicting prices of houses in each area or creating a programme for computers to recognize each person’s face.
Health Data Science is a sub-discipline that has branched out as the industry, agriculture, business, and society. Such as Disease and Epidemiology, Anatomy and Body System, Healthcare System, etc. This knowledge will enable us to understand this health field’s information and analyze it effectively.

It is a joint program between Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine. Chulabhorn Royal College and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
The degree certificate will be issued jointly with the Prince Chulabhorn College of Medical Sciences. Chulabhorn Royal College and the King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. As for the degree, it will receive it in conjunction with the Prince Chulabhorn College of Medical Sciences. Chulabhorn Royal College.
Course Philosophy
Produce scientists with good practical skills able to continuously discover, apply knowledge to analyze health data, and further develop the body of knowledge to improve the quality and health of the people.
The essential of the course
Data science plays a direct role in the design, development, and analysis of information about human health data, which is the cornerstone of the information technology system to improve the quality and health of the people.
Course objectives
- Produce data science graduates with five skills: self-learning, being creative Aware of morality and ethics, having social skills, and being a practitioner
- Produce data science graduates who know software, computer applications, and information technology systems to improve people’s quality and health.
- To promote research, development, and transfer of suitable technology from abroad
- To provide academic services in data science in Thailand, emphasizing research and development that uses medical data to increase the efficiency of medical, health, and public health services.
- To instill in students a consciousness of pursuing learning and being able to learn on their own and continuously throughout their lives.

Scholarship to honor Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak for students of the Bachelor of Science program Health Data Science The academic year 2019 is divided into two types as follows:
- Type A scholarship is a scholarship for tuition and education fees of 56,000 baht per semester for four academic years, a total of 448,000 baht, 25 scholarships.
- Type B scholarships are scholarships for education fees of 25,000 baht per semester for four academic years, totaling 200,000 baht, 15 scholarships.

วิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์ศรีสวางควัฒน ราชวิทยาลัยจุฬาภรณ์ เปิดรับนักศึกษาใหม่ปี 2566 สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ข้อมูลสุขภาพ เร่งพัฒนาการแพทย์ด้วย Data Science ปัจจุบัน เราอยู่ในยุคแห่งข้อมูลข่าวสาร ในแต่ละวันจึงมีข้อมูลข่าวสารต่างๆ เกิดขึ้นมากมาย และอยู่ในรูปแบบของดิจิทัล ที่สามารถเข้าถึงได้หลากหลายช่องทาง สามารถรับรู้และค้นหาได้สะดวก รวดเร็ว ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ข้อมูลเส้นทางการเดินทางและสภาพการจราจร ข้อมูลรายการอาหาร ข้อมูลสถานพยาบาล ข้อมูลการรักษาพยาบาล ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับยารักษาโรค ซึ่งจากปริมาณข้อมูลที่มีเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง จึงจำเป็นต้องมีบุคลากรที่มีความรู้ ความเชี่ยวชาญ หรือมีทักษะเฉพาะอย่าง Data Scientist หรือ นักวิทยาศาสตร์ข้อมูล มาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ทำการต่อยอดความรู้จากแหล่งต่างๆ รวมถึงสร้างนวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ [...]
หลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ข้อมูลสุขภาพ วิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์ศรีสวางควัฒน รับการประเมินคุณภาพการศึกษาภายใน ประจำปีการศึกษา 2564 ตามเกณฑ์ AUN-QA Version 4.0 ผ่านทางระบบออนไลน์ ในวันที่ 15 สิงหาคม 2565
